I am a white 40-year-old single straight male currently incarcerated-but don’t mistake that for weakness, boredom or lack of depth. Prison has a way of stripping life down to its rawest form. When you’re left with nothing but time and your own thoughts you either break or sharpen. I choose to sharpen, I am a man who values honesty, loyalty and respect above all else. I’ve lived, I’ve lost, I’ve learned. I don’t waste words or energy on anything fake. I’m direct, observant and mentally solid. I read a lot, think even more and stay grounded in who I am. Growth doesn’t stop just because the world puts walls around me. I appreciate deep conversations over shallow chatter. I’m into real stories, laughter, music that speaks to the soul and ideas that challenge the mind.
I believe intelligence isn’t about degrees-it’s about awarenesses reflection and the ability to evolve. I’m not afraid of accountability and I don’t run from the truth, no matter how uncomfortable it gets. I’m looking for a pen pal who can match energy. Someone openminded, curious and capable of holding a real conversation. You don’t need to rescue me, fix me or feel sorry for me. I’m not here for pity; I’m here for connection. Location doesn’t define a person character does. If your tired of surface level interaction and scripted personalities we will probably get along. I value people who speak their minds, laugh at life’s silly moments and are not afraid to be themselves, are steady, resilient and unapologetically real. Write if you want honesty, substance, laughter and conversation that actually means something I’m an open book and encourage questions. I am looking forward to hearing about your days and telling you about mine. Please write on front page only when sending letters. Write soon!
Please note: This service gives you the opportunity to send your first message to a new pen pal, free of charge. If you send more than one message to the same inmate, or a message to someone you already know, they will not be forwarded.
When you send a message using this form, our staff will print and mail it via US Mail or forward it via the prison’s email system, every two weeks. Be patient, and don’t expect an immediate reply. Inmates can’t email you back directly, so include your full name, email address, and complete mailing address or phone number for a reply. Messages without valid contact info won’t be forwarded, nor will messages with threatening or abusive language.
Want to message directly and more quickly? Check the inmate’s profile to see which email service he or she uses (i.e. GettingOut, JPay, Securus). These services cost between 5 to 50 cents per message and offer you the ability to message them directly and instantly.
