I am currently serving a life sentence for some crimes I did not commit. On December 31,2022 I won my post-conviction. Then on November 20,2023, two alleged major charges I was actually innocent of, have been dismissed completely gone. They are off my record and 25 years off of my sentence. On November 2019, I knocked off 20 years on a previous appeal. My state/federal petition are currently pending in the court, which could lead to exoneration in a few years, to eventually my freedom. Since arriving to prison, it’s been in the lab with a pen and pad studying, researching, seeking outside resources-everything to overturn some of these convictions. I hope when this process is over, all the wrongs will be corrected here. I’ve made my fair share of mistakes and don’t profess to be a perfect person. I have hopes, aspirations, and ambitions beyond these closed confines of razor wire and prison steel. I’m able to rise above these prison walls and use my experience to make a difference in others’ lives. I’m Afterall only human.
