Hello,

My name is Herman McCurdy and I am 30 years old. I am currently at the back end of a 12-year sentence for aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping. I was fresh out of high school and had just started college when I committed my crime. I am not proud of my actions back then, because I was young, foolish and didn’t know who I was. However, I am thankful that no one was physically hurt in my case and that I have been able to use this time to make the changes necessary to better myself.

I decided to sign up for PenPals.Buzz because I am at a point in my life where I feel comfortable with who I am and believe that meeting people and building new friendships are important to me. I decided long ago that I would not let my past dictate who I am today or where I want to be tomorrow. With that being said, let me tell you a little about myself.

I was born in Nicaragua (Central America) but was adopted and brought to the United States when I was around ten years old. I am 5’7″ and weigh 195 pounds with an athletic body build. My skin tone is a light brown/caramel complexion. I have dark brown eyes and dark curly hair. I enjoy the outdoors, especially when it comes to sports such as soccer, football, and basketball. Working out and lifting weights is important to me because I like to live a healthy life, so I stay active as much as I can. Family is a priority of mine as I look forward to spending time with those who have been there for me throughout this journey. I do not have any kids, but hope to one-day find a special woman I can marry and start a family with.

Life has a different outlook once you have been in prison. I appreciate the smaller things more and look forward to a fresh start once I get released. I am an open book with everyone and an honest person, so please feel free to ask me any questions. I hope to hear from someone soon and begin a new friendship.
