Hello World

Well I find myself approaching the gates at the end of a very long run.. a run in which I spent mostly alone, and mostly by choice, Why you might ask, well the answer is simple. I did not and could not see the end, but now as that time approaches I realize just how empty my life has become and therefore have decided to reach out. Why, good question.

The fact is I have lost touch with the world, and with the ability to be open in meeting new people. At first it was a choice, a choice that made life inside easier and less stressful which in turn allowed the days to blend into nothingness with no need of being remembered. Now as I contemplate my release, I realize the extent of my isolation, I see many areas in myself and life in which I would like to change. One of the biggest being my ability to trust another individual.

So why am I here writing this message and what are my goals and hopes. My goals are to meet new people, to hopefully make friends and let me be honest, there is a part of me that hopes or dreams that one friendship will grow into much more..that there is someone out there who can crack the self learned numbness that has become my normal emotional response to individuals around me.

Now that you know why I am here and part of my goals and hopes for being here let me tell you a little about the things I have done, am doing and enjoy doing. I enjoyed teaching mathematics. I taught for 12 years in here trying to help others seek their education and just recently changed from being the teacher to being the student. I am currently enrolled in a EETC small engine certification course seeking my master mechanic technicians certificate in the hopes of making myself more employable once out. I currently have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Ashland University, I even attempted my MBA, which I hope to complete once institutional restraints are removed. The fact is the prison staff made it not hard but impossible for me to complete, they went as far as to lose my proctored managerial economics final, but I will not let that stop me, I will just pivot and redesign my goal to fit these restraints and once they are removed I will complete what I started.

I am a driven, hard working, quit man who wants to work, own a home, and maybe start a family someday God willing. I enjoy reading novels being outside when I can. I enjoying doing leather craft, which for me means trying to figure out how to make something. I do enjoy a movie now and again and two of my favorite movies are John Wick and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Now that you know why I am writing this and a little about myself I guess I should tell you what I am looking for in individuals.. well to tell you that would mean I have already found them and since I have not I am not sure the qualities or personalities I am looking for. I could go with the preprogrammed response, honest, trustworthy, open mined, carrying, but I have to be honest here saying them seems unreal to me.

I had a guy tell me I need to get my game up to score the right woman.. my response in my mind was, if I needed game to get the woman do I really want her??

Now the part comes wh

Please note: This service gives you the opportunity to send your first message to a new pen pal, free of charge. If you send more than one message to the same inmate, or a message to someone you already know, they will not be forwarded.

When you send a message using this form, our staff will print and mail it via US Mail or forward it via the prison’s email system, every two weeks. Be patient, and don’t expect an immediate reply. Inmates can’t email you back directly, so include your full name, email address, and complete mailing address or phone number for a reply. Messages without valid contact info won’t be forwarded, nor will messages with threatening or abusive language.

Want to message directly and more quickly? Check the inmate’s profile to see which email service he or she uses (i.e. GettingOut, JPay, Securus). These services cost between 5 to 50 cents per message and offer you the ability to message them directly and instantly.
