My name is William, but I have always preferred my middle name, which is Josh. I am creating this profile maybe for the same reason that you are reading it, because I feel like life is better when we have other people to share it with! In today’s time, it seems like so many people feel like it is okay to create fictional or misleading versions of themselves; I am interested in meeting people who prefer to be genuine and honest like I do.
At this time, I am only looking for friendship. I am a passionate person, motivated to get out of prison and be successful in all levels of my life. A big part of this has been learning from the past and making the most of my time in the present to prepare and build a better future. Whether it has been completing programs, becoming a certified dog trainer, graduating from college, all of these things and more have helped me stay positive in an often-negative environment. Everyday can be challenging in a place like this, but I try to keep a sense of humor about things and an optimistic mindset. Pretty much everybody wants to be happy and find meaning in life, I believe these things are largely determined by the choices we make. That’s why I always choose to make life more awesome and to be worth all the time and effort that I invest into it. Work hard, play hard!
To contact me you can send a message through this site, and they will forward it but prison policies in Wisconsin have complicated and delayed receiving things through the mail. The longer it takes for me to get your message, the more time it will take for you to get any response from me. The fastest way to reach me and for you to hear back is to instant message me on my personal tablet. You can do this by going to: GettingOut.com and downloading the GettingOut app on your phone. Then click on Contacts at the bottom of the app. At the top of the next page, click on ‘Add a Contact.’
I am told you have to select the country, state, facility; that would be, USA, Wisconsin (WI), and Stanley Correctional Institution (SCI). Then enter my name and DOC#, William Ward #361507. Once you have done that, you will be able to send me a contact invitation and message. Each message is .15¢ to send.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Josh
Please note: This service gives you the opportunity to send your first message to a new pen pal, free of charge. If you send more than one message to the same inmate, or a message to someone you already know, they will not be forwarded.
When you send a message using this form, our staff will print and mail it via US Mail or forward it via the prison’s email system, every two weeks. Be patient, and don’t expect an immediate reply. Inmates can’t email you back directly, so include your full name, email address, and complete mailing address or phone number for a reply. Messages without valid contact info won’t be forwarded, nor will messages with threatening or abusive language.
Want to message directly and more quickly? Check the inmate’s profile to see which email service he or she uses (i.e. GettingOut, JPay, Securus). These services cost between 5 to 50 cents per message and offer you the ability to message them directly and instantly.
