Hi, my name is Todd and I have been locked up since 2017, on a 38-year sentence. First of all, I am really bad and writing about myself, especially in these correspondences, so please bear with me.
Well, here it goes. I am looking for new friends. I am 47 years old, 5’11”, 195 lbs., green eyes, bald and straight. I am currently at Western IL. Correctional Center. I am originally from Northern IL. My hometown of Oswego, IL. I am still in contact with family and a friend of 30 years.
I don’t think of prison as prison, I just think of it as being away from home for a while. I take it day by day. I like doing Bible studies, word puzzles, and watching some TV. I have done a college course in Horticulture and passed with a B. Got a certificate and college credit for the class, too. I am currently working in the Dietary department operating the dishwasher. I am working my way up in the department and possibly a different job in the facility in the near future.
I am on a wing that was called Making Strides but is currently in the process of a name change. I will be called Building Blocks. This wing was supposed to rehabilitate and better us, which it has for me. Plus, we get certificates for every completed program. The new program is still in the works. I am on a transfer list for Graham C.C. for a better education and work environment.
Since 2017, I have no disciplinary tickets and have stayed out of trouble with all of this. I am trying to better myself and have learned from all of my mistakes. I always try to learn new things to keep me out of trouble. With the Edovo Education App, I have learned a lot of different programs, like Culinary Arts, Meditation, House of Healing, Learning your Strengths, and more.
