Hi,
Thanks for reading my profile! I hope you’re doing well. I find the thought of writing and getting to know someone new appealing, and if you feel the same way then I invite you to contact me. A correspondence would reveal MANY things about me, so for purposes of this profile I’ll give you some basic information: First and foremost I’m a Christian. While it’s not necessary that you be a Christian, it IS necessary that you believe in GOD because this is very important to me if we clash on this, we’ll probably clash on other things, and I don’t want this experience to be a bad one or generate any negative feelings for either of us. And don’t worry…. I won’t preach to you! I’m a high school graduate with some college education in Computer Science. Unfortunately, life happened, so I never fully pursued this higher education. I’m 5’7 tall and weigh around 160 pounds with Hazel green eyes and light brown hair (but I shave my head). I love to travel and see new places and If I had the choice I’d live in Montana because I love the big skies and snow. I love the scent of flowers, fresh rain, fresh cut grass, even sawdust/wood. I’ve done a lot of landscaping and tree trimming and taking care of the land is my favorite thing to do. I’m not in a romantic relationship and while I have no kids, I DO love them, and I enjoy being “Uncle Rick” to my many nieces and nephews. I have eight sisters and one brother. Having descended from the famous poet Anna Bradstreet, I enjoy reading and writing poetry and have written many poems. If you write to me for any length of time chances are I’ll share my poetry with you as well as write poems about and to you. I enjoy the arts. I love all types of music, dancing, and having good clean fun. I love animals, love to fish & camping out-love nature. Sunsets woo me too. I’ve been incarcerated since 2000, at 21 years old. I made a very tragic mistake in judgement which resulted in a man losing his life. This was my first crime, and it resulted in a life sentence. I’m eligible for parole in 2040, after serving 40 years day by day. I have 16 left to come up, so I’m seeking LONG TERM friendship and growth with someone. You’re probably wondering, “What’s in it for me?” So let me tell you what you can expect from me. You can expect a positive attitude, constant encouragement and support, a ready and compassionate ear and heart, a keen mind, great conversation, some humor, and-as I am moved-the products of my creativity. I’m down to earth and free of ego and pride. I’m a thoughtful person and this is a NO JUDGEMENT ZONE. I accept you for who you are- and I hope you’ll do the same for me. I’m not perfect, and I don’t expect you to be either. In fact, I have no expectation at all-come as you are. let me close this profile by explaining how to contact me. With the advent of the JP6S tablets and subsequent stoppage of direct mail, there are a couple of options you can choose. One is to send the mail to the Digital mail address as follows:
TDCJ
Rickey Pearson #1115020
Po Box 660400
Dallas TX 75266
This office scans the mail-even pictures-and sends
Please note: This service gives you the opportunity to send your first message to a new pen pal, free of charge. If you send more than one message to the same inmate, or a message to someone you already know, they will not be forwarded.
When you send a message using this form, our staff will print and mail it via US Mail or forward it via the prison’s email system, every two weeks. Be patient, and don’t expect an immediate reply. Inmates can’t email you back directly, so include your full name, email address, and complete mailing address or phone number for a reply. Messages without valid contact info won’t be forwarded, nor will messages with threatening or abusive language.
Want to message directly and more quickly? Check the inmate’s profile to see which email service he or she uses (i.e. GettingOut, JPay, Securus). These services cost between 5 to 50 cents per message and offer you the ability to message them directly and instantly.
