My name is Mathew Remm, my family and friends call me Matt, and so can you. I’m 35 years old 5′ 9″ and 175 lbs. I would describe myself as an avid sports fan, no matter the sport if it’s on TV I’m going to watch it and if the opportunity arises I am more than willing to wager a ramen or candy bar just to make it a little more exciting, especially when it comes to Boise State football (BSU). I never miss a game even if it means having to listen to it on the radio.
When it’s time for me to play, my go-to sport is tennis, I have been playing since I was a young boy and have competed and won in the highest levels of state competitions. Currently I have no access to a tennis court so I spend my time on the basketball court where I play a pretty mean game of one on one.
Prior to my incarceration I made my living in customer service. There is nothing more fulfilling to me than to know that I have made someone happy and made their day just a little better. I’m the same way in a relationship whether it be with my friends or a significant other. Making them happy makes me happy.
I enjoy entertaining and cooking, in fact in here I have perfected the art of making Mac n Cheese in the microwave which if you haven’t tried is not an easy feat.
I was raised by a single mom, who did the best that she could given the circumstances and I think she did a pretty good job. I am however lucky enough to have an amazing grandfather who filled the father figure role for me and to this day has always been there for me. One of the things I look forward to is calling him on the phone and catching up and making sure he is doing well.
That’s pretty much me in a nutshell, I have about 2 years left on my sentence and am looking for someone that I can write to and get to know better and become good friends. Having someone to reach out to and maybe even talk to on the phone would make a big difference in my life. If you would be willing to reach out to me in a letter or email it would mean the world to me. Sincerely, Matt

Matt Remm uses JPay to send and receive emails. Find him directly on JPay by using this link. You may also write to him at the postal address listed in his profile or send him a message through the form on this page.
Please note: This service gives you the opportunity to send your first message to a new pen pal, free of charge. If you send more than one message to the same inmate, or a message to someone you already know, they will not be forwarded.
When you send a message using this form, our staff will print and mail it via US Mail or forward it via the prison’s email system, every two weeks. Be patient, and don’t expect an immediate reply. Inmates can’t email you back directly, so include your full name, email address, and complete mailing address or phone number for a reply. Messages without valid contact info won’t be forwarded, nor will messages with threatening or abusive language.
Want to message directly and more quickly? Check the inmate’s profile to see which email service he or she uses (i.e. GettingOut, JPay, Securus). These services cost between 5 to 50 cents per message and offer you the ability to message them directly and instantly.
