I’ve always been an open and generous person with my heart and possessions. Laughter, teasing, and joking are very much a part of my character. I enjoy all the normal things that a person enjoys. Things like drawing, gaming, comic books, and technology. Sure, I’m somewhat limited as to what I can do in here, and yes, prison has cornered me into keeping a close watch on my feelings. Even so, I’ve been able to use the adversity and difficulties in here to my advantage by reconstructing many of my old habits. Throughout my incarceration, I have truly learned to appreciate life’s simplest gifts.
I hope one day that I can meet someone who is willing to live life to the fullest with me. Someone who is not afraid to take a chance. Someone who can share some of my dreams and then accomplish those dreams together as one. So many people say, “that’s not even possible through a pen pal site, why even try?!” But I disagree. Why not try, right? I’m sure someone out there is willing to go that extra mile, even when their tank reads empty.
I’ve made bad choices in life, and I hold myself fully accountable for them. As such, I’m not looking for sympathy, but I am looking for empathy. If you’ll try to understand my feelings, I promise to do the same for you. People are complex, and the beauty of a pen pal relationship is that it gives you the opportunity to really get to know someone on a deeper level, as opposed to just the surface level texts.
