I’m Derik Roy, a 42-year-old Colorado Doc resident, reaching out to connect with positive, funny, open-minded people as I get ready for release in the next few months.
I’ve spent the last several years reflecting on my flaws and putting in the work to change. So far, I’ve earned an associate’s degree and Paralegal Certification and am well on my way to a bachelor’s in business Admin-Legal Emphasis. My days are spent studying, working out, and crocheting (its ok to laugh, but I promise my blankets will keep you warm). My friends call me “Quick & Witty”, a great source of humor and always ready to listen without judgment. I’m also a dad- proud father to a 12-year-old son and 14-year-old daughter. They are my driving force and my reason for becoming a better man.
For most of my life I’ve worked in construction starting as a laborer before earning my crane operator certification and moving onwards to a leadership role as a site superintendent. I’ve lived across the U.S from L.A to Houston to Vegas to Denver, but Stratton, Nebraska will forever be my home. It’s a career I’m proud of that has given me the opportunity to travel while leaving behind my mark on this world. I have a passion for working with my hands and over the years that passion become a profession.
Now that I’m preparing for the next chapter, I’m looking to meet someone who is independent, knows how to laugh, and can’t help but to always smile. Drama-free is a must. I’m all about positive vibes and building relationships based on trust, respect, and mutual joy.
