As I finish up the last of my sentence, I am hoping to meet new people and maybe even find a life-long friend.
My name is Carroll Ballard, but everybody calls me BJ. I am 33 and from Denton, Texas. The easiest way to describe me is a down-to-earth country boy. I enjoy hunting, fishing, and being outdoors in general. I’m somewhat of a workaholic. I like working with my hands and have worked jobs all over the country from cattle ranches in North Texas to fishing for crab in Alaska. I have the mindset that I can do any job.
Since I have been incarcerated, I took advantage of the time and utilized my work ethic and passion for being a better man each day and obtained my bachelor’s degree in business. I am planning on starting my own business one day. Before I start to sound egoistical by talking about myself, I would like to ask you one question. This question has two parts to it of course. I would love to hear your answers but even if you don’t reach out to me, maybe you can put some thought into this and answer to yourself. If life were over today, would you be content with what you leave behind? Why or why not? And what is the one accomplishment that you hope to achieve in your lifetime?
For myself, having spent a third of my life behind bars, I have so much more I want to achieve in life. I am far from ready for it to end. My main goal is to one day earn my 11-year-old daughter’s forgiveness for having missed so much of her life. I just want to be the father she deserves.
