After serving over 20 years of a LIFE sentence, I have been denied release at my initial parole board, but that’s ok because I’m accomplished, remaining productive, and am doing better than ever!

I’m a healthy, fit, intelligent and creative free-spirit who loves his job as photographer, practices freestyle sewing artform that brings joy to others, and am the lead facilitator and mentor in a residential treatment center for the most serious offenders in the system. In a world where so many are lost, teaching and guiding others has become my meaning and purpose.

As a combat veteran who served and almost died on the front lines of Iraq, I use mindfulness and yoga to help me recover and excel in ways they didn’t think possible; now every day I wake up stronger, resilient, and more determined than the day before. Incarceration may be another battlefield for me to survive, but this existence has helped forg me into who I am today and I am so much greater for it. I thrive on exceeding expectations and proving people wrong, which is why one day I’m going to leave here matured and transformed beyond their imagination.

Many people make assumptions about what led me here, but they have no idea what I’ve been through, who I really am, nor what I truly value. Instead of being like them, allow me to show you the best of me, and maybe we can become friends.

I look forward to connecting with you,
Brandon

Please note: This service gives you the opportunity to send your first message to a new pen pal, free of charge. If you send more than one message to the same inmate, or a message to someone you already know, they will not be forwarded.

When you send a message using this form, our staff will print and mail it via US Mail or forward it via the prison’s email system, every two weeks. Be patient, and don’t expect an immediate reply. Inmates can’t email you back directly, so include your full name, email address, and complete mailing address or phone number for a reply. Messages without valid contact info won’t be forwarded, nor will messages with threatening or abusive language.

Want to message directly and more quickly? Check the inmate’s profile to see which email service he or she uses (i.e. GettingOut, JPay, Securus). These services cost between 5 to 50 cents per message and offer you the ability to message them directly and instantly.
