The words to express my vision of a realistic and successful relationship dealing with the situation I have myself in….so I’m just gonna put it all out there. My name is Austin Bergevin. I’m 30y/o and I was born and raised in Portland. I have been in prison 42 months and I have 48 months to go for an Armed Robbery, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and UUMV. I work out every day as part of My routine not only to look good, but it also helps a lot with my mentality and keeping me focused on what I need to do to better myself every day, so that when I do get out, I will be the best man I have ever been. We are limited on the things we have in here to better ourselves, there’s not a lot of rehabilitation. You have to be your own advocate and push yourself to better your situation and future. For me I’m trying to move to a better prison where I can get on the list for a career-based job either welding, H-VAC, Plumbing or Electric. I’ve been pushing towards welding so that way when I do get out, I will have my career already set up. Right now, I am open to anyone that would be willing to reach out as for prison is a very, very lonely place and any communication from the outside world helps me get through these long days. I am looking for someone who will continue to write and correspond while I am serving the rest of my sentence. I am a very open person and won’t judge. I believe trust and honesty are very important. There are Several different ways we can communicate
1. You Can Send Messages via Penpals.buzz then I can respond with a letter.
2. We can Message through the Gettingout app. The messaging on there is in real time, but it does cost like .25 a message.
3. You can find me on Gettingout.com with My Name Austin Bergevin and SID# 1106026882 at Oregon department of corrections. Any paper letters sent will have to be regular lined paper with blue or black ink and a plain white envelope. we can also speak on the phone through ICsolutions.com
Please note: This service gives you the opportunity to send your first message to a new pen pal, free of charge. If you send more than one message to the same inmate, or a message to someone you already know, they will not be forwarded.
When you send a message using this form, our staff will print and mail it via US Mail or forward it via the prison’s email system, every two weeks. Be patient, and don’t expect an immediate reply. Inmates can’t email you back directly, so include your full name, email address, and complete mailing address or phone number for a reply. Messages without valid contact info won’t be forwarded, nor will messages with threatening or abusive language.
