I need someone open-minded enough to listen

You have already told me something positive about yourself by checking out this site. So even if you don’t contact me, thanks for realizing that some folks behind these walls are worthy of at least friendship. I’m no bore who likes to talk about himself all the time, but this ad sort of insists on it. So, you should first know this- I’m probably not the guy to contact if you believe our justice system is infallible. I do believe it’s the best system out there and that they get it right most of the time. That means about 98% of these guys are exactly where they need to be.

I suppose most people do realize that it’s not perfect and sadly there are a few of us that lady justice went astray with. Thankfully, she’s now in the process of fixing it! I’ll explain fully if you decide to write.

I need someone open-minded enough to listen first before judging this book by its cover. Oh, I’m no Anti-government anarchist or anything like that. On the contrary, I’m an honorably discharged veteran who, even after all of this (Remember- I’ll explain fully) still believes the American dream is available and worth reaching and fighting for.

I’ve never been an “ist” of any sort. Not leftist or rightist, sexist or racist. People are people when you get right down to it.

I’m a live and let live guy who believes we should do what pleases us in life as long as it harms no one else.

I’m not one of those grinches who sees life as a terminal illness and would much rather smile than frown but sometimes find it hard to do in here. That’s where you come in. Maybe we can help each other smile.
I don’t take myself too seriously and like to think I can dish up a pretty good conversation.

I’m an artsy guy, drawing and painting soothes my soul. I need these types of creative outlets to function properly.

I’m a mature man and years of working out has kept me manly with everything in great working order. This place will preserve a person who wants it to. No smoking, drinking, drugs, along with a good workout routine, four days a week seems to be a nice recipe for wellness. Never had a disease, broken bone, or even an operation. (knock on wood).

I’m 6′ even and range between 215 and 220lbs with lowcut Jason Statham (ish) hair and trim goatee.

I feel I need to say something that may be hard to put into words and could sound odd. My job here has me dealing with a lot of people. High ranking administrators, staff, and inmates. I’m social and do a lot of hob nobing.

Here’s the odd part. Even being constantly surrounded by people, constantly dealing with people, with real privacy a rare commodity, I still feel like the loneliest person on earth.

There is no one to confide in or console, to have a truly honest relationship. This place demands walls to be erected, emotions to be kept in check just to navigate safely through it.

I need a friend who can relate or at least try to understand these feelings.
Maybe someone a little lonely themselves in need of something real to latch onto. Just something genuine. I’m not talking romance or love. I’ve never been there. I’ve heard when you’re in love you know it. I’ve never got

How Does This Work?
This is a great time to briefly introduce yourself and let the inmate know what interested you about their pen pal profile.

Please note: This service gives you the opportunity to send your first message to a new pen pal, free of charge. If you send more than one message to the same inmate, or a message to someone you already know, they will not be forwarded.

When you send a message using this form, our staff will print and mail it via US Mail or forward it via the prison’s email system, every two weeks. Be patient, and don’t expect an immediate reply. Inmates can’t email you back directly, so include your full name, email address, and complete mailing address or phone number for a reply. Messages without valid contact info won’t be forwarded, nor will messages with threatening or abusive language.

Want to message directly and more quickly? Check the inmate’s profile to see which email service he or she uses (i.e. GettingOut, JPay, Securus). These services cost between 5 to 50 cents per message and offer you the ability to message them directly and instantly.
