I Was Scammed by an Inmate: A Cautionary Tale by Amy Broad

writing check to inmate

Hi, I’d like to make you aware that I have been completely scammed by Raymond, he was just using me the entire time for what he could gain from me. He promised me the world, even asking me to marry him in order to get what he wanted from me. He’s had thousands of pounds from me, through deception, manipulation and abuse. He has done this to me even despite my pleas to just walk away if this wasn’t real to him and the fact he didn’t- he continued to prey on my weaknesses- including my recent serious health issues- I have been battling cancer and he still couldn’t be true… he’s been cheating on me, started being aggressive towards me when he felt I didn’t give him enough money etc. I am absolutely devastated by his betrayal and the dreams of being finally happy and having found my one were nothing but a lie to get what he could from me. I want you to be aware of what he really is because no doubt he’ll be sure to get back on your site and I think you should know this information as a duty of care to other potential victims and his abuse of what your site is truly about. I really cannot put into words the damage this has caused me, he’s broken my heart and destroyed my faith in pretty much everything I thought I had finally found. Please be aware of this scam because it’s not just about the money it’s about the impact that it has had on my mental, physical and emotional health. It’s completely destroyed my life. I cannot bare the thought of him doing this to anyone else… he’s literally broken me in the worst way imaginable.
