Before you judge, get to know me. I know seeing someone’s charges can make it easy to form an opinion before getting to know the person behind them. Before you decide who I am based on a case file, I’d simply like the chance to introduce myself. I want to be upfront: I maintain my innocence and have never admitted guilt to the charges against me. I’m continuing to fight my case and hope that, one day, this chapter of my life will be behind me. I understand that may bring questions, and I’m comfortable talking about my situation and sharing my side of the story.

My case is only one part of my life—not who I am. I’m a twin, and I was born on Christmas, so I’ve always had a birthday that stands out. I worked for the State of California and played soccer for 26 years. Soccer has been a huge part of my life, and I’ve been fortunate enough to meet some incredible professional athletes.

There’s more to me than soccer, work, or my circumstances. I enjoy good conversation, learning about people, hearing different perspectives, and sharing a laugh. I’m interested in music, sports, family, history, different cultures, travel, and the stories that make us who we are. I’m not looking for sympathy, someone to blindly take my side, or promises that can’t be kept. I’m hoping to meet genuine people willing to look beyond a case number and take the time to know me. Maybe we start with a letter or two. We can talk about music, sports, family, funny memories, goals, dreams, travel, or whatever is on our minds.

Maybe we become good friends. Maybe we simply enjoy having someone new to talk to. There’s no pressure or expectation about where it goes. You don’t have to believe everything you read here or have all the answers. I just ask that you keep an open mind, ask questions, and give me the opportunity to show you who I really am.
