Inmate Description

My name is Robert Soliz.

I am from Corpus Christi, Texas, born and raised. I work for myself as an electrician. I like to fish, go to the beach, go camping and hiking -- pretty much anything outdoors! I like to read and learn about our world, whether it's non-fiction, biographies, or the Bible. You'll always find me at church on Sunday.

I'm a chill person. Been in prison since early in 2022 for an old drug charge from ten years ago. It finally caught up to me, however, I'll be out no later than October 2026 (and I could get paroled even sooner).

I was out for a while waiting to get sentenced, knowing that I'd eventually be coming to prison. During this time, I gave my life to God, because I was so tired of the crazy destructive lifestyle I had lived for almost my entire life. I was raised in a crazy family. Now, don't get me wrong, I love my family and I love everything they taught me. The problem is that most of my family sold drugs until the Feds caught them, so I grew up in that environment. Instead of finishing school, my Dad and Uncles showed me the "family business."

The good news is I have a good testimony to help people and to let them know how God saved me and how he is and has changed my life. Before I came to prison, I was helping people with drug problems and feeding the homeless and welcoming people to Broken Chains Recovery in Corpus Christi. So when I get out, I plan to go out and continue to do good for the people that are struggling. God showed me a better way, so I want others to see how He changed me. God comes first in everything I do in my life now.

If anyone wants to write me, it is a true blessing at this stage in my life. If I can help you with anything you might be going through in life, I am always here for you.

A little more about me: I've never been married, but I do have four kids. They're all grown up now, and out of the house, and I'm so blessed that they didn't follow in my footsteps. They all go to college and have great lives.

Here's how you can contact me. If you're old school, and enjoy writing actual letters with pen and paper, send them to the PO Box 660400 address shown in this profile.

If you're not as patient and want more instant responses, you can sign up to email me through SecurusTech.net. Just click the link above, then search for me in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. I'm in the Formby Unit. These emails will go directly to my tablet, and I'll be able to reply directly to you. It costs a small amount of money, but it's much cheaper than a postage stamp.

If you're not a big writer, but would like to talk on the phone, you can call SCBS at 1-800-844-6591 and program your phone to be able to receive phone calls from me.

I really look forward to hearing from you, in one way or another. Thank you, and God Bless.
