Hello, my name is Rafael; I’m 37 years old. I’m originally from New York City, Washington heights to be exact but I reside in New Jersey. I have been living in Jersey for quite some time. I’ve been incarcerated since 2014. My release date is coming soon in 2028. I’m currently at East Jersey State Prison in Rahway New Jersey. I’m no longer behind the wall. I’m now actually in working camp unit with those of minimum time left and I’m awaiting to be released to the halfway house very soon. I’m very outgoing, very energetic, full of life, fun, and funny. I love to have fun. I’m an outdoors person; I would love to travel. I love vacations and love going out dining, pretty much anything that has to do with a good time. I also love sports and enjoy playing sports. I am Dominican and Venezuelan descent. I love all races and cultures, and I have a deep respect for everyone’s choice of religion. I’m into meeting new people of different backgrounds and learning new cultures and trying different food as I’m still learning how to eat different things. I am loving, caring and most of all loyal. I look forward to connecting with new people. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. If you are interested in getting to know me and becoming friends. Please don’t hesitate to write or email me. The fastest way to reach me is via Jpay temporarily because we are switching over to Connectnetwork.com by via path between April-May of 2026. All of our mail is scanned in so although I am doing time in New Jersey, all mail must go to the mailing address on my profile (which is Las Vegas). Again, thank you for your time. I look forward to speaking with you soon.
Please note: This service gives you the opportunity to send your first message to a new pen pal, free of charge. If you send more than one message to the same inmate, or a message to someone you already know, they will not be forwarded.
When you send a message using this form, our staff will print and mail it via US Mail or forward it via the prison’s email system, every two weeks. Be patient, and don’t expect an immediate reply. Inmates can’t email you back directly, so include your full name, email address, and complete mailing address or phone number for a reply. Messages without valid contact info won’t be forwarded, nor will messages with threatening or abusive language.
Want to message directly and more quickly? Check the inmate’s profile to see which email service he or she uses (i.e. GettingOut, JPay, Securus). These services cost between 5 to 50 cents per message and offer you the ability to message them directly and instantly.
