My name is Joe. At the time I write this, I have three more years to serve before my earliest release date of August 11, 2029. My job here at Cedar Creek Corrections, a half hour southwest of Olympia, is working on a state DNR crew (Dept of Natural Resources). When we are not out fighting forest fires I am still working in the woods on fire prevention. I have always enjoyed camping, and I appreciate the opportunity I’m given to spend time in nature now.
On my off time, I like to read – mostly historical fiction and science fiction; play games, such as Scrabble, with my buddies; join in on sports and work on my fitness; listen to music and learn how to play the keyboard. I possess a good sense of humor, have learned resilience, and am accepting of differences. Family and friendships are important to me.
