My name is Jahaziel D. Yeboah Sefah. I am 53y ears old, and of African descent. I have been incarcerated for the past 20 plus years, and while my release date has not yet been determined, I am hopeful that I will be released in the very near future. Although my circumstances are different from most people’s, I believe meaningful and genuine connections can still be built through honesty, communication, and mutual respect.
I am fluent English speaker and also speak Ashanti dialect. Before my incarnation, I completed two years of pharmacy studies. During my time in prison, I have continued to educate myself and develop skills that have helped me grow personally and professionally. I became a legal assistant/paralegal and currently work as a law library clerk. This experience has given me an appreciation for learning, helping others, researching, and communicating with people from different backgrounds.
At this point in my life, I am looking for female friendship with a woman who is kind, understanding, open-minded, and willing to get to know me for who I am rather than simply judging me by my circumstances. I believe the best relationships begin with friendship, trust, good communication and taking the time to genuinely understand one another. I am interested in having real conversations, sharing experiences, leaning about each other’s lives, and building a friendship that can naturally grow over time.
Being incarcerated has given me plenty of time to reflect on life, my choices, and the person I want to become moving forward. I have learned the importance of patience, accountability, communication, and appreciating the people who are willing to give me an opportunity to be heard.
