If you're looking for someone to connect with that's interested in your daily life and wanting to share their own, I'm your guy. It'll be a while before we go for long walks on the beach cozying up next to the fire, but we can share laughs and conversations until then. Even if you're just interested in talking with someone who's been incarcerated for over a decade and hearing about the inside, I’d love to chat. I'm open to all correspondence from any and all communities.

I'm 40 years old, divorced and have an 18-year-old who is in college. I like to explore art in all its forms. I read many genres, listen to music, like watching good series, movies and also some gaming. Working out has been a big part of my life as well. The quickest and easiest way to contact me is through Corrlinks, as our regular mail goes to a processing facility in Vegas called Pigeonly and takes a few weeks to arrive here. Corrlinks will charge .25 a message to each of us, however I pay for my end.

If you'd like to read some of my attempts at creative writing, I do have a Substack. Its carlwest1 and the name of the page is called Doing Real Time. I’ve mostly written about experiences from doing time and the legal system but wish to become more educated in writing and broaden my horizons. I'm very open-minded and wish to connect with people outside the negative environment I'm surrounded by. Ive been through a lot in the short amount of time I’ve had outside here, and much of it is outside the realm of what people consider normal. Ive lived on both ends of the spectrum, running my own business by day and trafficking drugs by night so have many interesting experiences to share.

I really appreciate you taking time to check me out and hope to hear from you so we can get to know each other more.
