My name is Anthony Ehlers, I’m looking for people to correspond with and talk to. Prison is a lonely place, I’m tired of being lonely. I haven’t had anyone in my life in a very long time.
I’m looking for someone who is smart and funny. I love to laugh and have a smart personality. I’m looking for someone I can talk to about anything. Someone I can learn from and teach. I try to be honest with all things, even when it’s not pretty. I want the same in return. I have a lot of interest. I’m a writer, I write articles for both the prison journalism project and the Chicago Readers website. I’m an activist for issues that affect prisoners, the criminal legal system, the poor and forgotten. I write a lot of poetry also, I’ve had poems published in several different journals.
I’m also an artist. I like to draw and paint. I worked in a tattoo shop for a while in Chicago. Art is my escape and my sanity.
I’m a college graduate. I graduated from Northwestern’s Prison education project a couple years ago. I got my BA in social science. I’m still trying to continue my education. Books are a passion I read a lot. I love to read, my favorite subjects are ancient history, fantasy fiction, and self-help books. I’ll read about anything I can get my hands on. I’m working on a book of my own as well.
I’m a typical guy when it comes to sports. I love all sports, especially the Chicago teams. I’m really into music; I have a lot of tattoos and am looking forward to hearing from anyone interested in getting to know me.
