Hello! My name is Alec Cook. I am looking for someone to correspond, call, and develop a relationship with. I’m pretty nerdy and love to study topics like philosophy (especially existentialism), business science, technology, and spirituality, and I hope to have some really awesome conversations with you.
I’m a romantic at heart, also with a dark side, and I am hoping to find someone with whom I can share mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical intimacy. I think that vulnerability is key to building trust, and that relationships are an opportunity to discover oneself, as well as each other.
I love being silly, and joking around, and having fun, sometimes in a sophisticated and sometimes in a stupid way (and sometimes both at the same time!). Life is too short to not have fun.
I enjoy spending time with friends and family, with whom I am very close. Being away is one of the hardest parts of being locked up. I also really miss exploring the outdoors and having fun in nature.
To be honest, I do not have too much experience at relationships, my prior choices and current legal circumstances having inhibited opportunities to engage in romance. However, whatever skills I lack in this arena I am willing to learn and grow.
Where I am currently at technically isn’t a prison; it’s a treatment center, I do not know when I will be getting out. Hopefully soon. I do my best to look on the bright side and believe that the pain and suffering of uncertainty leads to internal strength, maturity, and fortitude.
One of my biggest passions is writing- fiction, non-fiction, poetry, you name it- and I hope to translate this skill which I have developed over the years into a future career.

When you send a message using this form, our staff will print and mail it via US Mail or forward it via the prison’s email system, every two weeks. Be patient, and don’t expect an immediate reply. Inmates can’t email you back directly, so include your full name, email address, and complete mailing address or phone number for a reply. Messages without valid contact info won’t be forwarded, nor will messages with threatening or abusive language.
