My name is Danika, I am 36. I was born and raised in Wisconsin. I’m incarcerated in Wisconsin. I am 5’3, 135lbs. I have a lot of tattoos everywhere. I am Native, Black, Irish, Polish, German and French, yes, I am a mutt 🙂

I am incarcerated for identity theft, bank wire fraud, fraud against a financial institution and other similar money crimes. My max release date is 2034, however, I could be released as soon as 2027.

I like camping, fishing, hiking, mushroom hunting, concerts, traveling, 4 wheeling, ice fishing, snowmobiling. Basically anything outdoors. My favorite music is country, rock, techno and opera…I did not know that I liked opera until I came to prison, and I never would have guessed that I would…but I do…a lot!

I am a certified peer specialist. I help inmates become the best version of themselves. I’ve put in a lot of work on myself, and I know that recovery and healing is very possible, even for those that feel they are a lost cause. I have a very inspirational story, and it really encourages a lot of the women here seeking to help and change themselves.

Though I am incarcerated in Wisconsin, all Wisconsin prisons use a Maryland address. They copy our mail and send us copies. It takes 2 weeks for me to receive mail that way.
