Hi there, my name is Quintel! I have been incarcerated since March 3rd, 2011, for 7 grams of marijuana and my first firearm conviction. I’m charged as a career offender for prior state convictions for marijuana in Iowa, my priors don’t involve anyone saying I ever sold marijuana just small amounts for personal use. All of my convictions together don’t add for one full ounce. I’m not a violent person at all.

I’m in the process of filing for clemency. I have faith that I will get it! During this time inside, I have been mostly productive, earning my GED, completing custodial maintenance through corporate college, 200 hours of HVAC, taking cognitive thinking classes and more. I realize there is no growth without change, no change without fear or loss, and no loss without pain. I strive to always better myself as a man. I focus on the possibilities and not the realities of the moment.

Your value doesn’t decrease based on someone’s inability to see your worth. It’s their loss not yours, life is not about finding the right person but creating the right relationship. It’s not how we care in the beginning but how much we care till the very end. I have a great sense of humor; I can turn a frown upside down fast! I like to laugh, listen to my slow jams and converse about everything. I’m not the type to judge anyone! I’m searching for that special someone to build with.
